dread extensions – synthetic dreads – fake dreads

Double Ended Dread Installation

In this tutorial you will learn how to install those double ended dread extensions you bought from our premade dreadlocks section.

Take a slightly bigger section than you would for a Single Ended Dread. If your continue to attach with small sections you will find that you’ll run out of dreads quicker and the section of your head completed will be too bulky to handle. Leave some room, remember, you’re getting two dreads in one braid.

OK! Split the section in two and lay the double ended dread in between.

Using the one half of your DE as a third piece, start forming your braid.

Be careful! With double ended extensions it can be easier to slip. Sometimes this is okay though because it gives a cool layered effect in the end, and if that’s something you want, awesome, if not.

Keep in mind that the other side doesn’t start getting shorter.

Once you have finished your braid, tie off with rubber band and pull other half of the dread down straight..

And there you have it! The most important difference between double ended and single ended dreads.

Please excuse the poor braid quality!! Tutorial Use Only. Haha. Should you have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to Contact Us!
